Based in Fountain Valley, California, seeking a compassionate and dedicated elder care provider for my 75 y/o father w/ Parkinsons. 2 shifts available: Live-In 4 days M-F, $275/day; Fri-Sat 8a-8p $22/hr. The ideal candidate is experienced in neurological & movement disorders, Parkinsons/PSP, early stage dementia. Patient is high fall risk and requires careful monitoring for compliance w/ walker, and assistance w/ showers, dressing, anytime he's not using walker. Due to risk of aspiration/ swallowing issues, must be monitored for safety with eating and is currently being evaluated for determining diet changes. Needs transportation to weekly local gym classes, Dr. appointments, grocery shopping, errands. Patient is among the sweetest man you will meet but he does value his autonomy and independence, therefore needing someone close by and always having an eye on him, which is hard for him.
