Job Description Job Description Home Health Care Aide – Bethel, Ohio & Surrounding Areas AnsCare Services LLC Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Experience with Severe Autism Preferred AnsCare Services LLC is seeking compassionate, reliable Home Health Care Aides (HHA) to support an individual with severe autism in Bethel, Ohio. Candidates should reside in Bethel and/or nearby communities (Amelia, Williamsburg, Mt. Orab, Hamersville, and other surrounding areas). We are looking for caregivers who are patient, calm under pressure, and confident working with individuals who may have significant behavioral, sensory, or communication challenges. Position Overview You will provide one‐on‐one support in the client’s home and community, ensuring safety, structure, and meaningful engagement. This role requires someone who can follow routines, respond appropriately to behaviors, and maintain a supportive, respectful environment. Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision Support daily living activities (hygiene, meals, routines) Assist with communication and behavior‐support strategies Help with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs Provide medication reminders and basic health monitoring (as permitted by state guidelines) Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks to maintain a safe environment Maintain a safe, structured environment Follow care plans and agency protocols Document services accurately and on time Collaborate with family and agency staff Respect client privacy, dignity, and preferences at all times Requirements Experience working with individuals with severe autism Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent Reliable transportation to Bethel, Ohio Ability to pass background checks CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and problem‐solving skills Attend mandatory training and maintain active certifications Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as an HHA, DSP, PCA, or caregiver Experience with nonverbal individuals or those with high‐support needs Familiarity with sensory processing challenges and behavior‐support techniques Knowledge of personal care techniques and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) support Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program Current Ohio certification or licensure as a Home Health Aide Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings Reliable, professional, and committed to scheduled shifts Basic literacy for accurate documentation Flexible scheduling Opportunities for additional hours when available Why Work With AnsCare Services LLC We are a mission‐driven, person‐centered agency committed to supporting both our clients and our caregivers.
