Machinist 3rd Shift

Hourly Location: Clyde, NY Shift: MondayFriday | 10:30 PM 6:30 AM

Pay Range: $21.62 $27.02 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

Kelly Services is seeking a 3rd Shift Machinist to set up and operate CNC production machines in a manufacturing environment. This role involves producing precision parts by working from blueprints, sketches, and route sheets while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one or more CNC production machines
• Perform machining operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming
• Conduct secondary operations including tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring to close tolerances
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to ensure quality parts per documentation
• Perform rework as required
• Accurately complete Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks per requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Machinist Certificate preferred)
• 13 years of related machining experience preferred
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including basic trigonometry
• CNC and/or manual machining experience
• Experience setting up machines and making tool/work offsets
• Ability to read and edit G/M-code (FANUC control experience a plus)
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges
