Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator Redlands, CA | Full-Time | Non-Exempt (32–36 hours per week) About Family Service Association of Redlands (FSA) For over 120 years, Family Service Association of Redlands has provided essential support to individuals and families in need throughout the East Valley. Our programs offer a safety net for basic needs such as food, housing, and clothing, with the goal of helping families achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Resource Development Manager, the Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the agency’s outreach, communication, and volunteer management efforts. This position oversees marketing, social media, and public relations initiatives while recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who contribute to FSA’s mission. The ideal candidate is a creative communicator and organized multitasker who enjoys engaging with the community, building partnerships, and sharing meaningful stories that highlight FSA’s impact. Key Responsibilities Public Relations & Marketing Promote FSA events, programs, and volunteer opportunities through various marketing channels, including social media, email newsletters, the website, and print materials. Create engaging social media content and assist with maintaining FSA’s website presence. Represent Family Service Association at community events to recruit volunteers and increase public awareness of programs and services. Collect information, photos, and stories to create marketing materials, flyers, and visual content that highlight program impact. Volunteer Coordination & Administration Collaborate with management, staff, and board members to assess organizational volunteer needs. Plan and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract and retain volunteers. Develop and maintain volunteer procedural and training manuals. Maintain accurate volunteer records, schedules, and time logs using the volunteer database system. Prepare and present reports for meetings and agency reporting needs. Orient, train, and supervise volunteers for various programs and events. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer services and placements. Plan and coordinate volunteer recognition and appreciation events. Serve as the primary liaison between staff and volunteers to ensure clear communication and coordination. Additional Duties Support agency fundraising and community engagement efforts as needed. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience in social media, marketing, volunteer coordination, or public relations. Experience may be waived if the candidate has one year or more of education or training in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Business Administration. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram), and database systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and creativity. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and maintain positive community relationships. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Requirements Fingerprint and drug screen clearance, and a current negative TB test. Valid Class C driver’s license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for daily responsibilities. Work Environment Primarily office-based with occasional community outreach and off-site events. Must be able to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday. Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events or volunteer activities.
