About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Entry-Level Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, professional office environment. You’ll work closely with the Purchasing team to support daily operations, vendor communication, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirm purchase orders have been received by suppliers
• Verify accuracy of supplier order confirmations and resolve discrepancies
• Update and maintain purchase order tracking information in the ERP system
• Assist the Purchasing team with administrative tasks and project support
• Communicate with vendors to place and follow up on orders across multiple locations
• Coordinate shipment and delivery logistics with warehouse teams nationwide

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree
• Previous office experience or strong desire to gain professional experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking on the phone with vendors and suppliers
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a quiet office environment
