Responsibilities

GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Authenticating identification for access to restricted areas
• Regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operations
• Granting or denying personnel access into restricted areas
• Performing private and commercial vehicle inspections and package inspections following prescribed procedures to ensure only authorized property is brought into or removed from facilities

GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access
• Controlling personnel access by verifying identification/credentials
• Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity
• Maintaining desk logs, desk journals, and pass-down logbooks to document security events

GS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least 6 months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Education Successfully completed study at an accredited college or university in any subject is fully qualifying in the amount and level specified below:

• GS-03: 1 year above high school
• GS-04: 2 years above high school

Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
