The Vice President, University Communications will lead and elevate the universitys communications strategy during a period of ambitious growth. Reporting directly to the President and sitting on the University Cabinet, this leader will serve as the chief architect of Colgates narrative, amplifying the universitys reputation for intellectual rigor, world?class faculty, and a distinctive residential experience. This person will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy, and includes oversight of media relations, leadership communications, internal communications, crisis and issues management, thought leadership, digital and social media, content, and creative services.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of demonstrated senior leadership experience overseeing a communications program for a leading higher education institution or similarly complex, multi?stakeholder organization. Strong collaborative skills and proven team leadership and management skills are essential.
