Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Forest, MS . In this role, you will oversee the maintenance operations of our facility on second shift , ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of our Ammonia Refrigeration systems.
• Lead a team of refrigeration technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Conduct regular inspections of the systems to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Manage maintenance budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Must have the ability and experience to: lead, direct, evaluate and train a staff of 15 refrigeration technicians; measure, monitor and reduce downtime; diagnose problems and direct/assist with repairs; promote a ‘Safety First’ culture amongst staff; and, develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant.

• Education: Education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses.
• Experience: 3 plus years’ experience in industrial refrigeration.
• Computer Skills: Elementary computer skills; for example, checking electronic mail entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.
• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
• Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
